Garden railroading is a relaxing, enjoyable, rewarding pastime that brings smiles to faces of all ages. Train Your Garden is all about showcasing this incredible hobby, hopefully introducing new folks into this rewarding, relaxing past time.

Trains in the Garden?
Yes! Some model trains are made to be run outside and are largely weather resistant. The track, buildings, and scenery are made to leave outside permanently. Here in Aiken County, South Carolina, the weather permits year-round railroading since we don’t have the winter ice and snow of northern climates. Garden scale trains are very sturdy, and a little rain will not harm them. However, it is usually best to bring the locomotives and other running equipment out of the weather when the trains are not running.
